Project assessment

Establish what is possible at the site, how it can benefit your operations and where the risks lie.

Assess substantial on-site, private-wire or off-site opportunities, including data centres and projects combining solar, wind and battery storage. Early scrutiny can expose assumptions that would otherwise become expensive commitments.

Understand the site

A site with three areas to investigate.

MorningEvening

Generation is one input to the wider financial assessment.

01 / Roof

Usable area, orientation, condition and demand match

02 / Car park

Parking layout, access, structures and installation costs

03 / Ground

Land constraints, planning, cable routes and connection

Not an engineering design or yield forecast

How I can help

  • Assess the initial suitability of roofs, land and car parks, including site visits where appropriate.
  • Compare layouts, orientation and system sizes against electricity demand, operating patterns and site constraints.
  • Identify the further site, planning and grid investigations needed to progress a proposal.
  • Compare capital investment with PPA funding, and test generation, costs, export assumptions and long-term returns.
  • Assess which network and policy-related electricity costs a project could avoid, which would remain, and how policy or regulatory changes could affect its value.
  • Test the business case under different demand, electricity-price and charging scenarios, rather than relying on a single forecast.

What you receive

A site assessment or business case identifying viable options, assumptions to challenge and the further work needed before an investment decision.
